These terms govern your use of the text-proofreading service “MUKU - InkShield” (the “Service”), operated by us (the “Operator”). Our legal name is stated in the Notice under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions.
By registering an account or using the Service, you agree to all of these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service proofreads text you submit using a large language model and shows you what was changed and why. Its output is produced by a machine. We make no warranty as to its accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. Please review the result yourself before publishing or sending it.
The Service aims to remove invisible watermarks and statistical bias found in AI-generated text, but it does not guarantee complete removal against every detection method.
Major generative AI services have begun embedding machine-readable markings in the text they produce. The Service exists to remove such invisible watermarks and word-choice bias, and to make the text read naturally, as if written by a person.
There are still situations where work is dismissed simply because AI was involved. The Service is intended to help people who wish to reduce traces of AI within the range of their own discretion.
We do not intend to assist with uses where AI is expressly prohibited, such as university coursework, examinations, or application rules. We decline use of the Service for those purposes.
Where you are obliged to declare the use of AI to a recipient or publisher, follow those rules. We are not responsible for any disadvantage arising from use that breaches such rules.
The following are prohibited when using the Service.
If we determine that prohibited conduct has occurred, we may suspend the account, void remaining coins, and take other necessary measures without prior notice. We are not liable for any loss you incur as a result.
Text you submit is sent for proofreading to a large language model operated by a provider in Japan. Whether the text is retained afterwards is your choice in the settings screen. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Intellectual property rights in the programs, screens, internal instruction text, and all other works comprising the Service belong to us or to their rightful owners. Use of the Service does not transfer or license those rights.
We make no claim to rights in the text you submit or in the text the Service outputs.
The Service is provided as is. We make no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, that you will obtain the results you expect, that operation will be free of errors or interruption, that output will be accurate or complete, or that it will not infringe the rights of any third party.
In particular, while proofreading by the Service aims to remove electronic watermarks and statistical bias in AI-generated text, it does not guarantee complete removal against every detection method. We are not liable for any disadvantage you incur as a result of detection.
We are not liable for loss arising from any of the following.
Even where we are liable, our liability is limited to cases of our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and is capped at the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months. In no event are we liable for lost profits, business interruption, loss of data, or other indirect, special, or consequential damages.
If you are a consumer under the Japanese Consumer Contract Act and this clause would be void under that Act, this clause does not apply to that extent.
We may change the content of the Service or suspend its provision without prior notice. If we discontinue it, we will give advance notice where possible. We are not liable for loss you incur from such change, suspension, or discontinuation.
A minor using the Service must obtain the prior consent of a parent or other legal representative. The same applies to purchasing coins.
You represent and warrant that you are not, and will not become, a member of an organised crime group or other antisocial force. If we find otherwise, we may suspend your account without prior notice.
You may not assign, transfer, or pledge your position or any rights and obligations under these terms to a third party without our prior written consent.
We contact you by sending email to your registered address or by posting on the Service. If a notice fails to reach you because of a problem with your email address, it is deemed to have arrived when it would normally have arrived.
If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable under law, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
We will amend these terms as needed. Amended terms take effect when posted on this page. If you use the Service after an amendment, you are deemed to have agreed to it.
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. In the event of a dispute concerning the Service, 横浜地方裁判所 shall be the exclusive court of first instance by agreement.
